Darcy | 3 Month Update

The months keep passing and my baby girl keeps getting bigger *sad face*.
This month has been one with the biggest milestones and probably the best one yet. I've really enjoyed watching her grow and everyday she seems to learn some thing new, I also love watching her play with her toys. She's a smiley little girl and has been since she knew how to smile. I think I even heard a giggle the other day!
Here are the details..
  • She's a lot more interactive with her toys, she grips hold of her rattle and sometimes tries to eat it. One of her toys is a small cuddly ball that makes noise when you move it and I think she's learnt that that's how it works and its just lovely to watch.
  • She now weighs 12lb 6oz and is on gaining weight on track.
  • She's in size 3 nappies and in size 3-6 month clothing however some things are slightly baggy.
  • She's sleeping like a dream! I bath her at around 8pm and give her a bottle straight after and she will sleep through until 6-7am which is absolutely beautiful. (She sometimes goes back to sleep for a couple of hours so I get a lie-in, yay)
  • She's quite drooly and I'm pretty sure she's early teething, I really hate seeing her in pain but I need to get used to it because these teethy pains are gonna be around for a little bit longer.
  • She likes watching the telly,  I don't want her to get in the habit of being a square eyes, so try not to have it on too often.
  • Her naps are generally about 11am, 2pm & 5pm and then she's good until bedtime. They last around 45 minutes.
Despite some of these changes, this month has been some what more challenging as Darcy has required a lot more attention, I mean she did anyway but she likes me to play with her and doesn't really enjoy entertaining herself, which is difficult when I need 15 minutes to whizz around and tidy up. She also seems to be going through a phase where she doesn't want to be away from me, in the evenings when I am in the kitchen tidying up and her Daddy is watching her she cries for me which a part of me absolutely melts but its proven to be quite challenging. I wouldn't change any of this for the world because at the end of the day this is the beautiful little girl she is growing to be. I must admit I don't think I'm lacking in the sleep department because like I said earlier she's sleeping great and I don't function well on zero sleep, happy mummy - happy baby & all that.
Did any of your babies start teething early? What worked best for getting through it?
As always, thank you for reading.
